Help with wheels?
so i've been reading around on this board for a bit, trying to get an understanding of wheels and tires and fitment and so on... but i'm stuck. i want to get new wheels for my xB, and i know i want 15"s. i think i want lighter wheels, but i don't know if it's worth it or not. i'm a complete newb when it comes to wheels and tires.
anybody have any suggestions or tips? i'm looking for grip and gas mileage.
any help is GREATLY appreciated

I am looking to do the same myself....15" and lightweight.
In addition to the ones mentioned, I found these (Kobe Literace) that are only 11 lbs each.....don't know much about them though.....perhaps someone else has experience with this brand?

thanks for the info, i'll look at these brands. but i do have some questions about lightweight wheels... spend a little extra on wheels that are lighter, is it really worth it? will i see better gas milage? will my car have a little more snap? like i said i'm a total newb at wheels.
the way i see it, if the wheels are lighter, the engine doesn't have to work as hard to turn them. so it follows light wheels = better acceleration = better gas mileage. is that true? or am i way off in left field?

Good deduction. The wheels mentioned above are light, but there are alot of others out there too. Depending on your budget. Work, Volk, SSR all make nice light wheels, but look to pay. Works range from $1200 and up for 15's with no tires. Volk and SSR are in the same range.
You are also gonna want to make sure to get a good offset, so the wheels won't look sunken in. I a 7" side I would go +10 to -10, a 8" wide, +15 to +0. These will keep you kinda flush.
