Airbags and Fender rolling??
ok im a newbie to airbag suspension. i dont know wether to post this here or in wheel and tire cause its kinda a 50/50 split. well here i go.
im gettin and air bag kit from F.B.I. Mini for my xB and i wanna get 16x8 rims with probly 205/45 or 50/16(i think). the main question i have is, am i gonna need to roll my fenders to be able to tuck this size wheel and how much if so? ? and the other question is a wheel question, does anyone have problems turning with 16x8's up front?? i was also i was told by the F.B.I. that i would lay my bumper on the floor with this size wheel. all help is immensely appreciated. thank you in advance
.
two more questions. i also forgot to mention im a newbie with wheels as well.
will i need camber plates to adjust the front?? and what offset should i get for the rims to help me with the tuck??

If you are looking to tuck, you should stay above a +35 offset. There should be no problems with turning on 16x8 wheels but it really depend on the offset of your wheel. And the offset of your wheels will also tell you if you need to roll your fenders. All your questions you asked really depend on the offset of your wheels, and yes with that size of wheels and tire combo, you will set you bumper on the ground.
We built a box bagged on18 x 8.5 and 18 x 9.5 staggard wheels. The offset was around 35 although I don't remember exactly.
The car tucked all 4 corners, we rolled the fenders and ran camber on all 4 corners as well. We also spaced the front fenders and bumper out about 3/4 on an inch. Tire size is fairly important too.
It's alot of work, but it can be done.

here you go.
16x8 with +35 offset, 205/40 tire.
fenders have been rolled. I am pretty sure your bumper will not touch the ground with that setup, I have the Easystreet stuff with removed front sway bar and still don't touch.

you can't auto cross.
as long as you take sharp turns easy and maybe a little slower(should be anyways with running bags) then no.
MrMcnugget on here has had his out for like 4 years now, with no prob.
the ONLY thing is your power steering belt will rub on I think the axle or one of the rods down there. and will start to make noise when it is down and running. so just try not to leave it running while down.

ok cool thanks alot gothbox. nice car by the way. lovin the flat black look.
gothbox- did you have remove your sway bar or did you just do it to get lower? cause the rep i talked to didnt say anything about taking it out. also did you have to do anything to the bumpers after flaring the fenders? thanks bro

I removed it to go lower. I did not "have" to remove it.
bumpers will be fine depending on how much you roll them. You can also go for cutting the lip off the inter fender as well, same effect, you are still getting rid of the lip, that way you may not have to roll them out so much. in turn no bumper prob.
Whats up my fellow Scion Militia member, lol. This might help if you are wanting to run a really AGRESSIVE setup.
I am runing 16x8 wheels with low offsets (around +25 up front and +10 in the rear).
I am running 205/40/16 tires cause I like the look of low profile tires.
I am tucking, but, my rear fenders are rolled completely flat and I am runing 3 degrees of camber, the clearance is peper thin
The front fender liners are gone and the front fenders were pulled slightly.
Here are some pics of my setup:
