Default Questions about dropping my scion xb

I have a 06 scion xb and i'm hoping to install df210s on them. I went to a local motorsport shop and the guy said it will cost 700 dollars to install em. Is this how much it usually costs to drop a car? or is this guy ripping me off? and also, i live in los angeles and I dont have the resources to install the springs my self so any recommendations of shops that could do these kinda jobs at a fair price would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

The guy recommended tein springs so without knowing anything about those springs i thought they were expensive springs which might be why it was so expensive..I did some research online and it seems the springs are under 200 dollars. So yeah..the guy was trying to rip me off...I wish i can install em my self but I have no automobile knowledge or the tools...sucks...

I'd do it for a half rack of beer and a pizza if you were near me. But you can do it with a $25.00 tool kit from Autozone, the stock jack, and the Tech write up on here.

$700?!?! That's outrageous!

Go to Autozone and rent the spring compressor (they'll charge you 30 bucks or so and refund the money when you bring the tool back)

It really shouldn't take you too long to do yourself.

I used 2 floor jacks to do mine. Also remember to lower down the box on the floor fully before the final tightening of the 3 upper strut bolts.
The first time might take 2 hrs. but after that you will be a pro.

He might also consider joining a Scion club. We often have install parties to take care of the noob mod lists.

Brothah what shop in LA told you $700? Those _______s!
Buy a set of Teins or Tanabes from a reputable internet store if you can find em cheap and have it installed at Legends Motorsports in Cerritos (562)860-9804. $80 install ask for Abe.
Good Luck!
