Hey Dads...
...what did you do and/or get for Father's Day?
My wife and daughter took me out to eat at Chinatown and they got me a $100 Home Depot gift card...
Time for me to choose a propane grill I've been wanting to get!...

First off, happy belated father's day to everybody. My daughter is just 16 months old so my wife got me another coffee mug with some of my favorite pics on it. I got the same thing last year so maybe this will be a tradition (no complaints here). I also got two dress shirts and three ties. I never shop for myself so my wife keeps my wardrobe up to date. Also got a couple of t-shirts and a nice shirt I can wear on "casual" Fridays at work. Last year I got money to get my daughter's hand print tattooed on my chest and springs for my xB. My wife said I can't get ink and car parts every time. Every other year works for me.
My daughter, recently home from university for the summer, took me out to dinner Tues. nite at Olive Garden. She insisted on paying, and driving me in her car. My son in Hawaii, called the other day to thank me for a job well done. All in all a wonderful time, I have always told my kids not to buy me junk, but find a way to do something which requires a tad of thought, and investing some time with them. I am 57 soon, and can afford to buy any junk I may need, or think I need, but what I can never recover is time, or potential time with my kids. It has become the most valuable commodity in my life as my daughter finishes school next year, and is considering a big move. So, if your father is still alive, mine isnt, take some time to be with him.
I got a Nintendo DS from my wife and framed artwork from my youngest daughter. Last year my daughter bought me a Wii. Hmmmm. Interesting that I keep getting game systems for fathers day.
On the other hand, neither of my sons or my oldest daughter even called.

My son was just born in April, and we are so caught up in that we sort of overlooked Mother's and Father's day oops
