Hey guys,

My stock tires are going from barely acceptable to barely drivable, and it's time for an upgrade. I also want to up my wheels to 16s.

From a previous thread I was looking at something like 205-50-16.

Any suggestions on 16" wheels that would look good with an IIP xA and not break the bank, and then tires to go with 'em? I'd love to order from somewhere established, not just the cheapest bidder online.. probably the hardest piece to find :\

16's won't feel much different than 15's

 

We have plenty of selections for the xA in 16's. You may even want to take a look at the Enkei Rs7 in 17's. We have them at a very tempting price.

I am currently running Tanabe DF210's lowering springs with a 215-45-17 tires & 17x7 rims. My question is if I change the tire size to 205-40-17 how much lower will the car be looks -wise?

 

^^Actually. A smaller tire will open up the wheels gaps giving the illusion you raised the vehicle.

 

If you are going to upgrade your wheels you should at least go up to a 17" the price difference between 16" and 17" rims is very small.

 

^^I think he is trying to retain a ride quality closer to the 15's. That would be the only reason to ever run 16's

 

I read a lot of posts on here about ride quality... I have 205/40/17's and I do not feel any difference in ride quality than when I was riding around on stock steel wheels and oem tires... The only thing that feels different is taking the on / off ramps an extra 5-10 mph faster with a little less body roll.

 

i sure feel a difference in 15's from my 18's....

 

17s ride decent but there is still a difference. I'm affraid to put my 18s on ever again.
