Used lowering springs on stock shocks.
My xb has 57k miles on it with original shocks. I will be dropping it on a set of used DF210's in the upcoming week or so. Anyone had any luck using their stock shocks with lowering springs around this many or more miles. Looking forward to the feedback. Thanks.
You really should use search for this... very common question. But, to be a nice guy and answer it anyway.....
You'll be fine on stock shocks. A few people swear by konis in the back to soften up the ride a little bit, Some put Toyota echo shocks in to lower it just a little more (but this makes the car a slight bit more stiff / bouncy).
Where you at in Virginia? If you're in Hampton Roads I may be able to help you put the springs on.

I have searched before. Didn't quite yield the results I was in search of but, I understand. I normally search first. Thanks for the replies though. I made the decision to run the springs on the stock shocks, to heck with it haha.
Prescottn- I am up near the D.C. area. I have an uncle who lives down in Suffolk though.

Or while you are at it upgrade to new Monroes for around 200 bucks more and be done with it like me.
I installed H-Techs at 13.5k. At 19k I added 1/2 spacers and had a rubbing problem hitting deep dips at speed with rear seat passenger. Now at 34K I'm getting more rubbing with rear seat passenger on not so deep dips and wanted to install new shocks to prevent. My search turned up this post.
Suspension Setup:
Tien H-Tech (1")
Stock Shocks
17x7, 40mm off set
215/45 17
1/2" Spacers
I stayed with the stock shocks & this tyre size to keep the ride decent. I go thru DC every day and don't want to be replacing wheels too often....
Whadaya guys think ?
Thanx !
