Yea, I've seen a set with the spokes painted black and the lip stayed polished. Looked sick.
Lemme see if I can find the pic.

Well, here's a set painted bronze.

This dude powdercoated the whole thing black.

Here's a set in gunmetal.

Do some searching... you'll find more.

i am super serious about the weight of the trd's 18"... if you have a bathroom scale you can weigh one of 'em to see for your self they are just heavy wheels

stock steelies weigh about 33lbs

heck even the optional 15" scion alloy wheels weigh the same as the steelies

geebus man.

i was thinking of picking them up cuz i found a really good deal on them, i just didn't want silver wheels on my white xB... i like the whole contrast thing.

i got a couple more questions too

how much would it normally cost to get wheels powdercoated, or would it be hard to do it myself?

and what's the OEM tire size? 225/35/18?

i just had a thought.
heavy wheels, worst on gas mileage huh.

it'd probably be a bad purchase on my part especially with gas prices.

has anyone tried coloring them gold?

if they are to good of a deal to pass up, then go ahead and get them, and you could just use them for car shows and stuff not as your everyday wheels.

They only zap like 1-2 mpgs when I'm rollin them.
I'm considering colormatching the spoke part BCP on mine.
They also look SIC in all black. Maybe do them completely in flat black?

Yeah I can tell a difference when I go from my TRD's to my steelies in the winter. It may not be a light wheels but it looks oh so good on my xA

haha. yeah i currently have 17" wheels, and I think they're pretty light IMO, they weigh like 35lbs with the tires.
but even with those i'm getting like 24-25 mpg.

I wanted to pick up 18's to fill the wheel gap a little better n' i think the xB looks a little better with them.

i might just pick them up and see if i can paint them myself.
i've seen some DIY's on painting wheels n' it doesn't seem all that complicated, but i'll see
