Default Help a new guy here!!!

Ok, Im new to modding and I find it interesting to do in my spare time. The first major modification I plan on doing is putting 18's on my box with a 2 inch drop, but Ive heard of so much termanology and I have some questions: What are spacers, will I need to "bang out the inner fender" to make room so I can turn? Basically, What is everything I need to put into account when adding a pair of rims to a dropped box?

Spacers: There is two types...Spacers-go in front of the hub, Shims-go behind the hub. They basically do the same but shims are safer since they dont take away from your bolts. Now onto what it does...when putting on a wheel it can be to large and rub on the back. So the spacers push the wheel out away from the body. Now the banging out the fender I doubt you will have to worry about. You may have to cut the black plastic inner wheel well. For your best bet check out the the wheels spec sheet at the top and that will give you a good idea on what to get. Make sure to get the right offset and you wont have any problems. Hope this helps.
