Default birthday coming up, getting springs and strut bar..

so i just found out my sister is paying my car payment for the month for my birthday present.. so with that 230 saved plus whatever money i get for my bday, i am gonna be getting tanabe df210 springs and also a strut bar.

my question is, ive found the meagan strut bar to be the cheapest price, but is there any reason its cheap? is there any other strut bars that would be better? or does it really matter which one i buy?

Megan is on the lower end of quality in my opinion. A few people would like to argue with me but I personally have not and never will ever use Megan parts on my car. As for strut bars go with DC (I have this one and love it), JIC, Greddy, Tanabe to name a few... Remember even though its just a strut bar in the end you get what you pay for.

ok buddy, if your not racing, than any strut bar will do. If i were you id go with the DC Sports because it has all the greatest features. Cheap price, good fit, excellent build quality, looks good and wont get in the way.

As for springs for the DF210's they have the most aggressive drop and i hear VERY good things about them. If you decide not to go with the DF's than use S-Techs from Tein.

Jsosa, You're lucky with your xA, try changing spark plugs on an xB with the DC Strut bar, HA HA!

But seriously, the Tanabe Springs and a DC Stut bar would be a great choice. The DC bar is a good bar, its pretty well built/engineered, and is pretty cheap. I got mine a few years back for $80 BNIB. I have no expirence with the Tanabe springs but I have heard a lot of good things about it also.

Changing plugs with the Hotchkis bar is easy enough too.

Happy Birthday, btw!

HAHAHAHA!!! I didn't even think of that. The funny part is that i tried changing my sparks the other day and i couldn't... OOPS!!

Nevermind, it does get in the way, but still works great,

Strut bars are strut bars. They don't do much so get what looks best to you!
