H&R Springs for xA
Has anyone dropped their xA on H&R springs? The nice gentleman that I'm dealing with reportedly has ordered me a set of H&R's with a 2.1" drop. I'm not sure if these are Race or Sport springs and whether I'll need to replace dampers or worry about camber adjustment. Any insight or experience would be helpful.
Thanks
Thanks
Yeah, the site is kind of vague. 2.1" could be either one. They do recommend shocks and possibly camber adjustment with the race springs...I'm just not sure which ones they are.
yeah, but it should be enough...I want to keep the car somewhat drivable for road rallies. I just wanted to go as low as I could without having to replace everything.
FYI, with the H & R Sport Springs (average lowering 1.5"F 1.3"R) we would recommend replacing the O.E. dampers as the they will fail in a relatively short period of time. If you are going to the H & R Race Springs (average lowering 2.0"F 1.8"R) you will definitely want to replace your O.E. dampers! Replacing your dampers at the same time as you install your lowering springs, will save you a second round of labor and alignment charges.
Thanks, Roger. I actually think I'm gonna cancel my business arrangement with my current vendor and find someone who knows about the products they're selling/installing. I would have expected the type of info you offered from the person selling me the springs.
