Hood Pins for CF Hood

it seems like the hood latch isnt catching, so i might just result to hood pins, whatchu guys think?

Yea i think u should play it safe. U dont want to see your hood come up into your windshield one day u feel like speeding.

nooooo, you will be fine without hood pins. just make sure it fits good and gets down tight.

Go with Sparco, Just remember hood pins are like Health Insurance. You put them on and pray that you dont ever have to use them.

just called a connect of mine. he said 100 for sparco pins + install. sound reasonable?

If its not latching then thats a problem. I would adjust the latch before you get hood pins.. You can add washers to extend the latch down further so that it latches properly

Thats way to much, I got mine done for 100 installed. The pins are about 40-60 a piece for the metal ones like I have. Then the install charge which should be about an hour to do it.

YOu should be able to get them 100 installed. IE 50 for the pins, 50 for installation.

uh, yes. i think you are missing something.

...total: 100$. pins aaaaand the install. 100. thats what he said. total. IE the whole job/work/pins/everything: one hundred dollars.

Hmmm ... it seems to me that it is 100 + install. IDK maybe it is me that cant read.

Anyways, it doesn't matter. Paying 100 + install is way to much.

DIY does win. i dont know pin prices...but i figure with the economy and all, 100$ is reasonable. anymore and...gtfo.

how do you know where to drill on the hood? My only guess is to install the pins and set the hood down, then mark where the pins are and pray you drill straight.
