Default Headlight harness is fried?

ive had aftermarket headlights for a while...not HIDs, just an H1 bulb - recently my low beam on the driver side stopped working but its not the bulb, it seems to be the wiring harness that is fried but its just the low beam side, i can use my high/low beam headlights on the high beam side of that harness and it works fine - the dealership ordered the wrong part and they said the only other thing is the main harness which is 1500 dollars :-\
i know the entire thing is not bad so what i can do to get it rectified.

even worse my inspection is out so until this is fixed i cant get that taken care of.

the harness i got quoted for at the dealership was 30 but when i looked at it i told him it was the wrong part cause it didnt look like what i was after
it looked too short, and the one im talking about branches off into a few places

cause the first time it was the part that connected to the H1 bulb, the cable that hooks up to the car or whatever, looks like the main harness is messed up. the connections from the high/low beams are fine and both work on the high beam side of that cable but not the low...and thats what i need fixed

Why not do one of the following?

1) Throw the bulbs out and get the proper wattage bulb for the connection

or

2) Make a relay harness so it never happens again?

I have this same problem too, i'm guessing.

The ironic part is I ordered a hid relay harness a few days ago, and is arriving this coming week >.< !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I need to figure out what to do.

The fuse for the passenger side low beam blew up. I replaced it, and low beam still won't turn on.

I tested the ballast that was on that side, by putting it on the driver's side. Works perfect. Tested the bulb as well, works fine.

So its definitely the wiring harness of sorts ;(

well i took it by the dealership and they said they could try and repair the low beam side for 150 bucks, i would have done this as well but apparently you cant just run out and by that connector that it uses so....either i figure out how to take it apart without screwing anything up and cut the wire back or i shell out 150+ to have them fix it

Soo.... i'm guessing just trace the wires from the headlight back to where the wire is blown up?

You know what I just noticed.

I might be in luck.

This is the relay harness I ordered.

It only uses 1 oem connector to activate. After that it just draws power directly from the battery.

I happen to have only 1 good working oem connector. The driver's side.

For some reason I thought the realy harness I bought required 2 oem connections.

WOOT!

But I still want to fix the connecter on the passenger side =p

I wonder if you can just get that relay harness, and replace the ballast plugs with 9006 plugs instead.

Hmmmmm......It should work. But I don't know if you want to go through all that.
