I just posted my review of my wheels and tires after you ... I think you'll be ok. My konigs are 17x7 with 40mm offset and my tires are 215/40-17s. I haven't had any rubbing -- and I haven't been "careful" about turning or bumps or anything.

stock size is 15x6 with a 38 offset.
with 17x7 +42 offset you will never rub, even if you go super low.

you can go to a 20 offset without worring about any issues, if you go any further than that, like a 15 offset and a 8" wide wheel than you will start to have problems, but its all easally fixed.

u wont rub im runnin 17x7.5 with a 40 offset i had to grind down that nub on the rear passenger side cuz the wieghts were rubing it but u should have no issues with the stock suspension and 7 wide

not sure but the nub might unly be a prob on the 06-06.5

They won't poke out at all. That offset is higher than the stock offset.

Very little will rub on a stock suspension also, btw.
