no but the road salt can. im still rockin my kaminari cf hood in snow,ice and freezing rain with no issues. i got my hood clear coated to protect it from faiding. make sure you keep it as clean as possible. wash off the salt asap.

i always wondered this too i got my hood in spring and sold it the end of summer so i never really hit winter with it lol

 

ok thanks for the info. i will probly leave it on. doesnt look like were gonna have a very bad winter here in west virginia. its only snowed like once. we have ice now but other than that its about 40 everyday

 

Take mine off in the winter. Don't want to chance it.

 

It really is going to be like any other body part,keep it clean and polished and waxed well and it will be fine.Mine has been on for two winters now and still looks good as new.
