hey one of the clips broke off my passenger side VRD fog light and is laying on the road somewhere. Its a good thing i decided to wash my car or else I might not have noticed the lamp hanging half way out . Anyone know how I can fix this? I contacted VRD about buying a new clip but they have not been communicating well....

Yea...Same here...I have the APT version.

The Passenger Fog Pops out...Luckily I was cleaning and saw it hanging out...The Clip is NOT made well or something!....it Happen Twice already...

 

damn, yeah mine are APTs too actually, but apparently they are the exact same thing... except for maybe the clip hah

 

your prob either gonna be stuck buying a whole new set. orrr, somebodys elses misfortune might be your lucky day, when i had my accident i sold just one VRD cuz the other one was destroyed.

id say thats your best bet, keep your eyes open in the classified, and as much as i hate to see vultures calling dibs on parts when someone posts a thread saying they got in an accident, you might just have to become one.

you could always go buy some aluminum sheet metal and if you have a bench vice try making your own...

oh and yellow, mayber I will have to try and do that, I'll get some sheet metal next weekend if no other solution arises.

 

ive had to make several brackets to relocate things because of my wire tuck, even if you cant make a proper clip, you should at least be able to make something that will fit into the fog light, then drill a small hole somewhere you wont see it and stick a nut&bolt or a ziptie through there.

 

yo the same thing happened to mine, it would pop everytime i hit a big bump or something..i just kept pushing it in and for 1 week it hasnt fallen..hopefully it would stay a little longer

 

Ha....Just today the Passenger side Fog Popped out again!!!

I had to re-bend the metal clip so now Hopefully the little bastard will stay in!!!!!...

 

alright I actually ended up being able to order a new clip from VRD. So yeah anyone else with this problem, give them a call...

tell you what though, when the clip comes in, I'm gonna reinforce all the clips with superglue so this doesn't happen again! haha
