Starter Problem
As with anything mechanical, it can last 10 days or 10 years, I would not sweat it. I've owned 6 new vehicles, and anything thats going to go bad usually does in the first 15-30k miles. You prob wont have another starter issue issue for a long time.
Starters fail for several reasons. Heat from the engine melts the insulation on the windings or over use causes it to do the same thing.
Its not built right from the factory or the brushes are worn out. Now many cases you have the solonoid or relay fails, but its replaced as a whole unit. When this happens you get nothing, if the motor fails, you get a click when the solonoid enages. The clucth sometimes fails, this is where you hear the starter whirl, but not engage.

Thanks for the info guys. It eases my mind. My first thought was the clutch being bad because it took o few pump to get it started a couple of times. And yes thank god there is the warranty to take care of it.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY elwaylite!!!
