20 inch help
i work at a tire shop ... and the people that get the twentys are the people that are either
1. back in 6 months needing new tires
2. back in 1 year wanting to switch out back to an 18 or 17 because they ride horrible
3. never back because they specificly use the vehicle for show
i dont recommend getting twentys to anyone unless they would like to ... i warn every customer about the ups and the down sides ... they look great but you will have no luck getting more than 10k out of the tires .... and with such small sidewalls the wheels will definatly take the damage ... so if you do ... buy a spare because you are definatly prone to damaging one wheel down the road.

I have ran my 20's for three years with no problems. I can't see you needing new tires after 6 months I have 15000 miles on mine and I will be able to put another 15000 on them. Obviously in a 20 you are going to a better traction rated tire so your tire will wear quicker if you drive aggressively - but it is a performance tire. I am pretty sure the technology in side wall band strength has advanced since the early 90's. Be cautious of large potholes and curbs and you will be fine.

deuces are a give and take relationship... you really need to ask yourself if you are willing to go through the work that they require...
Here are just a couple modifications that I had to make to get them to fit on my car. Now mind you, mine were pretty average on size... 20x7.5 +35 with a 225/30/20
Roll the rear wheel well's flat with the car, which is going to cause the paint on them to crack, and unless you cover them with some paint they are going to rust.
"Massage" your firewall with a small hammer. I was running 3 dif suspension setups with the wheels, Stechs/NF210s/and air. and unless you want the car to sit on the tires up front, you better take precaution to make sure you have clearance.
Wearable parts are going to do just that, wear faster... Brake pads esp! remember your also going to be putting more stress your engine and trans... the oem clutch hated my 20's and started to slip when I accellerated.
Tires, as stated the tires are pretty much rubber bands, so make sure that you get a
nice one... I used the Nitto Neogens and never had a problem with pot holes or explosions. they are a bit on the heavier side, but def worth it. and after about 20k looked brand new.
Also, make sure that you are aware that your speedo is gonna be off, not just a bit, mine averaged about 7mph throughout the whole spectrum...
So ask yourself... Do you really want the 20's, or can you get by with just 18's?

I orginally bought 20's for mine, got them on, and the front rubbed like a sob! I couldn't get 1/4 turn outa the steering wheel before I rubbed. So I took them off and got 18's n never looked back.
And mind you this was all at stock height
