Default My Ring fell into the crack of the Steering Column...Help!?

I stupidly took my wedding ring off while driving and put it on a sticky-pad thingy on the dash-shelf in front of the steering wheel.
Took off at a green light and it slid toward the wheel, fell down and just disappeared...anyone take apart this section successfully that can offer instructions?

Thanks a ton in advance!!

that happened to me!!

I felt like i was going to tear my whole steering wheel console...

turns out that it was hanging along the plastic along the steering wheel console...there's a small lip that pops out and keeps it stuck in there.

I tried moving the steering wheel column up and down; you might hear it move around...then you'll be able to pinpoint where it is.

good luck!

Hope you don't ever get stopped by a police K-9 unit for anything.

did you check near the bottom of the consoles? perhaps around the hood release...or around that trailing edge? there's a piece of metal around that area...could be lodged in there somewhere as well.

I just heard this story on The Car Talk Podcast last night.
Pulling the screws from the plastic bottom of the column was the solution they offered.
I can not confirm this will work, but it's worth a shot.
