AEM COLD AIR INTAKE
They are a waste of money but that's my own personal opinion on bolt-ons for the xb2. The additional 5 hp you may get from just an intake alone is not worth almost $300.00

I say go with the Tenzo-R intake, same pipeing as the AEM and same tuned section pipe like the Injens. You can pick one up for like between $100.00 to $130 shipped. that was the intake i was going with until i got the TRD as a gift, i love the TRD sounds amazing and add's a little pep in the step. But def alot of money- your relia just paying for the carb sticker and warranty.
I have a tenzo intake with the trd sticker lol...
pretty much what everybody said, intakes are a waste of money unless its the cheap tenzo
I dont like the sound of the aem much but I definitely felt the power over stock.

From what I have read (I just purchased the AEM myself), the AEM although is one of the pricier ones (I got it shipped for $246, not $300), the quality is what justifies the price. I have read about fitment issues with some of the other intakes and I don't want to deal with any of it personally. Not saying they are bad intakes, but I just feel like there is additional quality, construction and engineering put behind AEM. Not to mention, they are awaiting C.A.R.B approval for their CAI's, which is also a strong point to some. Hell, they are already putting it on the box that they are 50-state legal, so they seem pretty confident they will get the approval.
Out of all the ones I have researched most feel the best performance gain out of the AEM. Here is a dyno that I came across before/after intake install.

Like I said, they will all be good intakes and all do the same general thing. The AEM is the only one available now with a dry-flow filter which is the BIGGEST selling point to me. Oiled filters I don't want. You can get a cheaper CAI though and buy the AEM filter separate though if you really wanted to.
Go with what looks best to you. I just prefer to put high-end equipment in my car, and the AEM looks like the best *to me*. I guess I will find out when I install it next Tuesday!

Is that the graph for importtuner? the RS_5 build? Is your xB stick or Auto?
Hey, to each is owen, AEM is def a great company (had them in for civic Si) i have seen an auto xB with the tenzo intake make the same numbers to the aem back in NY so i feel the tenzo def holds it ground, same pipeing as the aem. The best numbers i have seen are from Weapon-R there new full cold air system with the Polyurethane Foam filter def make great numbers and sound good.
congrats on the intake, your def gonna enjoy it
The only reason i asked if your xb was auto or stick was when importtuner built that RS 5 xb it was an auto so the numbers on a stick my be greater.

Sorry not thred jacking
Drew,
I got the auto and yes those are from import tuner. Like I said though, not saying one is better than the other, just the reasons I chose AEM versus another company. They will all be solid im sure!
Can't wait to install the intake though... It arrives tomorrow but can't install under monday/tuesday

Search and don't type in all caps.
That is all.
These took me less than a minute to find.
