Did anyone else catch the breif period where you could build a 2010 xB on the Scion site with the new dark red color and new stereo head units? Well it has since disappeared. I'm thinking people were seeing the 2010s and waiting it out so Scion took it off their site to help '09 sales.

Does anyone know when the 2010 xBs will actually hit the lots (not exact date, just approx. month)? I for one am going to wait it out and get the upgraded stereo because of the increased wattage and the HD radio capability. I'm thinking stingray metallic, but I can't stop changing my mind. Who knows what it'll be by Dec. when I finally buy.

Also, all resources list navigation as an optional addition to the upgraded unit but I can't seem to find any sort of price range for that addition. Considering the upgraded radio is 450 and previous years' navigation unit upgrades neared 2K, I'm thinking even with the additional cost of navigation on top of the 450 it will still be a more affordable way to get stock navigation into your xB. Granted it's a smaller screen but my other budget navi option was a portable unit with just as small a screen.

Will these head units be available as the standard/upgraded units on the 2010 xD and tCs also or is this just a xB thing? I find it weird all press releases reguarding the HUs referred to the xB and did not mention the others.

 

i got my 09 last year in the first week of june

 

with sales being off by about 40 % I would not hazard a guess on dates for 2010 releases. My local guy has about 6 xbs on the lot now including 1 RS !!

Oh and I got my 08 in May of 07 for reference!

I wish I wasn't forced to pay for a navi head unit in the RS6 because I really love the red color and other RS6 features.

 

Well here is all the info I have gathered. In a press release about the 2010 xB, Scion released a PDF outlining the new base and premium head units. In the PDF it shows the premium model to be $449 and the premium w/ Navigation to be $1,198. Next to the description it said the navigation option would be available July 2009 and since it wouldn't make sense to release the navigation until the car is available, I'd say it the 2010 will probably be available in late June or early July. So far these head units seem to only be available for the xB, the 2010 tC press release said that there would be no changes from 09 and I haven't heard anything about the 2010 xD.

Also, I heard a rumor on a different xB forum that the new head units will not be plug and play with older model scions.
