Default Window vent visiors

I went to a toyota dealer yesterday and ended up with a full set for an 08 scion xb for 59 bucks before tax. I see they stick on the outside vs the inchannel for the windows. THey are by lund and the previous time the dealer quoted me was 99.95.

Are these the window vent visiors you guys are using? They are tinted and stick on the outside edge of the window.

Thanks.

outside vent visors? those suck, i put a set of inchannel vent visors on my exgirlfriend's xa, they fit perfectly. the out channel ones sound stupid, the inchannel ones go in, and then you close the windows for 24 hours to hold them inplace while they adhere, while the outside ones might sink or sag down, be harder to align and come out.

take them back, get some inchannel ones,

I see Mach-box has the same style on his xb. I was a litle put off that I can not use mechanical car washes with them on.

I too had the in channels for my xa and they always flex when rolling the window up all the way, but I liked how low profile they were. I had my front passsenger side one get crushed when I rolled up my window one day and that was the end of them.

I see others talk about rumion(SP?) style vents too, what ever that is.

I've had stick-on visors on several cars over several years and never had any problems with them. Not even in cloth-brush car washes. Never tried a nylon-brush wash and never will.

I have the stick-on Rumion style visors from Speedelement on my XB and love 'em.

i think the in-channel vent visors look lame compared to the rumion style one.

I had the in-channel visors on my 1st gen and like the look of these a whole lot better! Someone else really likes them too cuz mine just got ripped off my car last week. Someone just literally ripped em right off and dug out!!! BULL$H!T

Oh wow drewsxb808, look at your wheels and hood. I agree, I think they look nicer, but could be easily removed.

I bought my rumion style visors from scion sport last November and have been running them ever since without a problem. i love how they add to the lines of the box and i think the in channel ones look incomplete as they don't cover the rear triangle shaped window leaving an unfinished look. i paid about $100 for them shipped.

you shouldn't be taking your box through a mechanical car wash anyway.. giver her some tender loving hand wash action... the mechanical washes are great when you are driving your friends car, but never your own!

ok...i no ima get blasted for this...but i bought some of those autozone vent visors to put on my dads grand cherokee...came w/tape and everything. prob. the easiest install i have ever done...nothing has ever broken, and no water gets in except for the dew in the morning if he's flying through town...i think $50 sounds a heck of a lot better than buying certain brand ones...these for me are one of the function over form things...and to be honest...i can't really tell the diff...between what the diff types look like

Those are the Rumion knockoffs. There's threads in the aero/exterior section.
They do appear to be of decent quality. I know if I were to get some, I'd probably run those until I got the cash for the Rumion units, or the Japanese aftermarket came out with something cooler. :D
