EBC Green Stuff and EBC USR Rotors
What kind of a bed in process did you follow? Did it come with any instructions? It sounds like they weren't done properly.
Typically you do about 10 or so 60mph to 10mph hard breaking sets in a row. Let everything cool and do it again. This does vary a bit depending on who you ask, but you should definitely see smoke at some point and they should stink something awful.

Ya. Definitely. That's why when you did have to brake hard you got the smell and stuff.
They need to be properly bedded.

It looks like you CAN do a "moderate driving" bed in for some pads... but no heavy braking at all in that period.
If you scroll down to #9 here, EBC outlines their own bed in procedures:

If you want less fade/better feel get steel lines and get some new fluid. Unless you have already done this I suggest routing cold air into the wheel well via hvac tubing from the stock fog light inserts.
Glad you like em.
