question on rear shock removal

Default question on rear shock removal

ok so im replacing the shocks in the xb. i just dont understand exactly how to get thoes 2 nuts off ontop of the shocks they just keep turning. am i suposed to do one nut at a time of both of them at the same time... thanks

Do one at a time, the second (top) nut is a catch nut so that the bottom one doesnt loosen as you drive

the top of the shaft should have a notch on both sides that you can put a small wrench on to hold it will to turn the nut.

ive had several different types on my car and don't remember how the stock ones are.
