Default shock suggestions with S-techs.

well I need some help friends.

got some new wheels, ROTA D2, 17x8 with 32mm offset so i had to roll my rear fenders and did some hammer banging on the firewall/wheel well of the fronts but Im still rubbing in the rear when i slam bumps.

Im going to be putting -3 camber plates to get the tires out of the way.

now here is my ? is there any shocks out there that will stiffen up my rear end.

maybe the koni or the kyb's where i can tune them to the right setting.

any other suggestions as well are welcome.

Koni or KYB... outside of that, go bagged and adjust your air as needed. Koni shocks are indeed awesome... however, they can be too stiff if you tune them hard.

gotta agree...

If your looking for a sporty ride then go with Koni, if your looking for slightly better performance go with KYB, if your looking for a smooth ride on S-Techs go with monroe.

Not trying to totally threadjack but what about S-Techs and the TRD shocks? I'm gonna run 15's and was wondering would I have any problems or not.

KYB does not make adjustable shocks for the 1st gen at all only manufacturers that make them are Koni and Tokico.

The KYB shocks are pretty good still. Tons better than the TRDs. I'm riding Koni yellows on max stiffness this week to see how bad it can really be. Fealing the sand pebbles can be fun sometimes.

what about the Tokico's. I heard some where that the TRD's are just Tokico's re-painted. also heard that they blow and leak oil alot. my best friend ran them on his EK with a k20 swap and his fronts went out on him, was not a happy camper.

Sounds like Tokico shocks are out of the question then doesn't it?

You will absolutely love the ride with the konis. Riding on 15s or 18s it's just omfg awesome by comparison.
