hey guys, i was wondering what the best way to remove tar from wheels is with out putting in any swirls or scratches? is it the same procedure as doing so on regular car paint?

 

I usually use gasoline or denatured alcohol. Eats it right off with minimal rubbing.

 

I use my regular spray on wipe off car wash to remove it.. i just spray it on the tar let it sit for few mins then it will come off easy

wont that eat away the clear coat on the wheels?

 

WD-40 and a toss-away rag. Let the WD sit longer for the larger spots. You can actually watch it dissolve the gunk if you have the patience.

 

if you have an old clay bar that's almost used up, i'd spray a bit of detailer over the spot and clay it.

 

WD-40 usually works great just don't let it get on your pain!

wd-40 is mostly fish oil i spray that ____ all over the front of my car for bugs in the fenders for rubber and tar it will not hurt ur paint if u think it will u r a ___ sorry conld let u be the only one to revive it lol but then again most poeple cann;t even tell u what it stands for sorry just my 2cents not that it was needed....
