Default rubbing rear tires vs. grinder

recently mounted up a set of 19x8 wheels with a +35 offset, 215/35/19 pirelli tires, hotchkis springs, and im using the one ton garage drum shims. the rear passenger tire was rubbing on the inside lip of the fender. funny thing is that it was just the passenger side. i know that the rear end on the xb is shifted just slightly to the passenger side im guessing its just like 3-5mm but anyway it was rubbing when i hit large bumps in the road so i took the grinder to it and now the problem seems to have gone away.

You have to roll your fenders if you like to run your spacer shims or you can get a camber plate which gives you the same flush look but with more clearance, JDMP

if its rubbing on the lower part of the front edge of the rear passenger , that is what happened to me. shave that sucker off or roll it in good. its only on the passenger side. the wheel is also closer to the fender on the passenger side than on the driver side. i wonder why that is...

i have xxr 002's with zero offset cause im getting fender flares.i got some 1/2 inch rear hub spacers to even the rear rim up with the front and when i hit a dip going fast mine rubs on the rear driver side,so im going to rull it up tomorrow.only concern i have is im not sure how the carbon fiber fender flares mount,if they are along the inner fender lip where im fixing to roll up.im not sure.im getting my flares in tuesday the 20th.i was told to heat it up with a heat gun and roll the fender lip up.i hate to do this but i have to cause its rubbing the edge of my tire.195 60 r15s

I have the same Carbon Fiber flares and you WILL need the lip to mount them. So, before you go rolling it all the way up, try getting smaller tires for your 002's. I have 513's in a 0 offset, with a tanabe drop. So, I went through the same issue. However, I left my fenders unrolled because I was getting the flares. It doesnt rub AS MUCH with 50 series tires. Trust me...upgrade your tire size to 195/50/15. You will be glad that you did.

so how does that work.

just bought some ESM wheels.

i just got 16x8 0 offset. i want to get a good stance on it. so i chose these wheels.love the old school look.

i have 205/45/16's laying around from my old set.

what do i need to do?

roll fenders?

camber?

what do i need to add so i wont rub with passengers?
