So I'm experiencing this noise while driving, like a sh-sh-sh-sh noise. It increases along with the speed. Thoughts?
Sounds like it's coming from the rear left.

 

I had a similar situation a few years back, it was my rear wheel bearing. Luckily I was still under warranty and took it to the dealership to get fixed.

 

ive got one in my ft right wheel now, im afraid to ask how much its going to run

 

i had the same thing goin on with my tc. i' replaced my driver side rear hub and then it was fine for about 6 months. it started again last week, but its more of a squeek now, my guess is maybe the rear pads are worn down and about to go. i'm gunna be replacin them soon ill let you know if it stops.

 

yeah it sounds like your wheel bearing is going out

if you have the money i suggest replacing both of rears just to be on the safe side

 

I'm under warranty for another 800 miles... but I have hub spacers, think I should pull em before I take it in?

pretty sure I got the same thing going on but I can't pinpoint the wheel.

 

I'll do it tomorrow, too hot today. I don't want to give them any reason to not warranty it.

jack up the rear and spin the wheels with the e-brake disengaged

 

^ ya thats what i did to figure out i needed a new rear hub. when i replaced it i checked it with a dial indicator and it was off 22 thousandths. that little bit made a lot of noise when i was driving, mostly at slower speeds.

 

How will I know? Just listen for a funky noise?

jack the rear up like he said but take the tire off and spin the rear wheel drum you will notice it binding a lot, and if you check the other side it will spin smooth then it is your wheel hub assembly, very simple fix.
