it has 3 clips that you squeeze on the back, takes maybe 3 seconds

pretty much snaps off from behind grille. Leaves a small void that can easliy covered with a personalized badge made of metal , plastic or just about anything.

Toyota (scion) should sell a filler for that... you know prepainted to match that clips in and makes the grill full.. for the "Clean" look.. First thing I went to do was pop mine off and it had a fugly square hole behind it.. I was lookin at the back and does the Scion logo out back come off just like the xB logo? with the Minty dental floss and soem goo gone?

Yup, waxed floss and googone. I was concerned that maybe there was a small hole holding the rear Scion emblem like from other Toyota's. But it seems it's just a stick on. I think the xA "S" emblem has an indentation, can't confirm.

I never even needed the googone. I just blowdryed it a lil here and there to warm it up and sawed away with the dental floss. After that, i rolled off the glue with my fingers and a little patience.

i was curious about this a few days ago so i took it off and sadly there is that ugly square.... i couldn't seem to get it off while the grill was mounted on the vehicle. so if you're curious how the entire front grill mounts:

there's two 8mm(i think) bolts on the bottom, one on either side of the hood release
then there's 5 push thingies... get a screwdriver and pop 'em out

i want an aftermarket grille already, one that looks like the factory one but without the square cutout for the emblem. i don't really dig the billet, cuz i'm not goin for the bling bling look. i might as well get the bB emblems instead, it'll be cheaper anyway. too bad carson is out of them, i almost drove down there to pick some up but called instead.

hehe consider it confirmed, i said it and ill back it up, hehe I removed my xA symbol but with the scion logo in the back theres an oval indentation so I don't want to remove it because it might just look kinda goofy

Sucks that they're still out of them - I tried a few weeks ago when I was gettin my oil change - someone mentioned trying Cabe Scion in Long Beach I think - I never got around to calling - maybe we can get hooked up there (i want that front emblem too.)

actually, the grill attaches with 3 black push clips, just pop them up with a screwdriver and lift the grill off.

That looks clean. I think I may give it a whirl. Any idea what kind of paint that is?
