Default New Shocks and Struts

Hello all!
I have a 2006 xB with 72,000 miles on it. Car is in great condition but is starting to take a few bumps a little rough.
I figure it is time to change the shocks and struts. With that, I also want to lower it since I will have everything off.
Any combinations out there that you like I would be happy to hear about. I will be doing the work myself. I found a great how to on the springs in the tech section so using that I should be able to make it happen.
I appreciate your input. Have a great day!

I'm running Koni Yellow Sports with Tanabe DF210s. The shocks/struts are adjustable for the performance of how you like the stiffness. The DF210s are a progressive spring rating rather than static. The result I've found to be quite fantastic. You may not want to go as low though, depending on what you are wanting.

I've heard that swift springs are good with the Konis. The TRD springs I've found to be a little stiff.

A few other simple upgrades you can do while working on the shocks/springs though... change out your endlink bushings with the poly bushings. Depending on the wheels/tires you are running, you can also improve the ride quality with a decent sidewall. A stiffer sidewall of the same series (50 series) will give you better cornering control. If you like stretched tires, then a stiffer sidewall would not provide any benefit other than reducing the amount of stretch you can achieve.

One other item I've done to improve handling on my car is the Energy Suspension front lower control arm bushings. This isn't an easy thing to change if you haven't done something like this before. We had to drop the K-frame to get the lower control arm free.

Good luck on the mods... I'm sure you will enjoy them quite a bit.

First you have to figure out how much drop you want or can live with on a daily basis. I have Tein H techs for slightly over an inch drop.
I replaced the stock struts/shocks early on for a smoother ride. Now with the Monroes and the H techs my ride is exactly what I want without the hazards of being too low.

DF210s are great for 99% of my driving, AND they make my car look good 100% of the time!

What are you planning to do with the app? DD? Drag? Auto-x? Road Race?
