will tire fit?

I have a set of 235/40/18 tires.

What is the widest wheel I can get with no tire rub whatsoever?

18X8.5?

I have 19X8.5 with 235/35/19 and my car is lowered 2", I get a little rub here and there in the rear when I hit a big bump. If I have 4 people in it I get a constant rub in the rear. But don't be worried it doesn't harm anything.
