wheel and tire sizing/offset
i currently have some 18x7 5zigen wheels. i've got sprint springs with about a 2" drop. i'm planning to get some shims from one ton garage. i am also planning to get a set of some work equip 03's or some ssr reverse mesh wheels. i'm thinkin 15x7.5's but would like to know how much wider i can go without rubbing. i want a fat lip too so i'm thinking about a 25 offset. is this even possible? prolly 50 series tires too. somebody help... any help would be greatly appreciated.
u posting in wrong forum dude...actually /w the setup ur thinkin bout running is good for daily...speaking of hte 15's...thats what recommended..u can go to a lower offset but itll require some fenderwork.
With camber shims + a little fender massaging, you could probably roll with even 10 inch wide wheels in the rear. The rear requires a lower offset/wider rim to make it flush out with the front of the car. Most people going after a real flush look run a staggered setup.
So the general idea is, go a little more mild in the front, and go wild out back--and when it is all done, they will match up perfectly.
