Default Can't untie shock from coilover

I run into a little problem installing my coils and changing the shocks and camber plates on them. I can't undo the big golt on the shock, friggin thing won't budge. I tried to undo it while on the car and it kept spinning with the shock, then I took it off and tried putting allen key into the shock but no go there. Is there any trick to this ?

your supposed to loosen it just a little before taking it off. Just try stepping on it and doing it that way. I did that and it worked fine

did you try to unscrew it on the ground or off? you're supposed to loosen it on the ground with everything attached before starting anything else. then completely remove it once the shock is off the car.

I did it on the ground and it kept on spinning with the shock, this is coilover shock, not a stock shock, maybe that's what screwed me over.
long story short the nut let go, had to insert allen key L shaped into the shock where dampening **** goes in and then a key on the side of a nut and oull in differnt directions. Allen key held up, even though it flexed so much I could not believe it held up
