Red face Argh! Gen. 1 xB strut question

Okay, I just replaced my shocks and struts with KYB GR2s and it rides great! BUT...I just took a look at the spring installation FAQ and noticed that the plate that fits over the front spring is directional. I didn't even notice it when I reassembled the strut unit. How much of a problem is this going to create? I have no strange noises emanating from the suspension and it seems to ride fine. Thoughts? I reeeeealy don't want to take it apart again. Thx.
