Default Any of you Scion dealers i need a paint job ruff price quote

I plan on getting an XB in thundercloud and i want to paint everything from the bottom of the windows on up in black. So mirrors and upper body would need to be painted not the black inbetween the windows just the thundercloud color. I going to get the spoiler in black so you dont have to add that to the quote. Its kind of a convertible look from afar just something different i thought would look good let me know what you think of this idea please. The rims i was thinking of getting are the Konig Theory size 18 with the gunmetal finish. And of course i would have to tint all the windows darker to complete the all upper black look. Thanks you for any info you can get me

I say paint the hood black but also add 2" under the windows so it has a solid line of color all the way, front to back. paint the hood and the top of the fenders and go from that line

I want to make it as easy on the painters and my pocket book but its more of a convertible look that i am going for. I see what you are talking about though.

and another thing, will you be painting the inside of the car as well, like if you open the door you will see grey on the bottom and black on top of the door side and also the trunk liner in black?

if your just spraying the outside then this is a relatively cheap job. shouldn't run you more thab 1500 and that is for a good paint job. it would be a lot easier/cheaper though if you went with your original idea and only did the top. that way he would most likely not have to sand some of the other parts to match the clear. just pray the top and side windows, add clear and your done. under a grand easy

If you look at a side view i think the line created by the bottom of the windows is a good enough line to go by. But when you get to the back i would prolly have it curve down and end up right above the tail lights and line up with the bottom of the back window.

Thats a good idea about spraying the inside too. Im sure it would cost a little more but its just a little detail that would make it really different and stand out. Thanks for the tip

Southeast Toyota (Jacksonville Port) does Roof Repaints... They have Polar White, Black Sand Pearl, and Thundercloud as options. They go for about 900 bucks. If you got that, it'd be more than half done =P

Why would someone just want the roof done that seems kinda weird as an option. But if thats $900 my job should be not much more than a grand or so.

and why does it have to be a dealer? you could do the whole car inside and out for under 4k and that's for a great paint job from a respectable place. this is an easy job and your best bet is to shop around some tuner places and get recommendations because they all know places to send their showcars. and most likely you'll save over a dealer price. it's not like they will factor it into your payments anyway

Thats what i was hoping that they would factor it in. Your right im sure i can find a cheaper than factory deal around here somewhere that does as good or better of a job. Thanks for your input im a complete novis at this. This will be my first car that i can actually mess around with and make it my own stlye. My other cars have been plain janes that were not worth messing with.
