the dealers i called wanted 600 as well

me and my dad ended up doing mine, the rears are pretty easy, the fronts are a little tricky getting the strut on but its totally do able with hand tools we used air tools to speed things up. you need a buddy to help you with it. Plus doing it yourself is always more rewarding. You not only save money but you get the satisfaction of working on your car and making it better. Took me and my dad about an 1 1/2 hours to do this, pretty much had no idea what we were doing, here is the guide we used to install the springs https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20769

I mean if you dont have the time to do it yourself any little honda/import shop can do it for you for atleast half the price of the dealer, but IMO do it yourself and spend the money you would have spent on something else for your car. good luck!

Dude, if I can do it... I'm sure you can. All it cost me was a few beers and tandoori chicken for the "hired help" (bro in law). No air tools, just poor ole hand tools here.

At least do the rears yourself, that pair is ridiculously easy then have fronts professionally installed for a cheaper price if you want.

Good luck! Enjoy your new ride!

Every dealer is different....they usually charge around $80-$100 an hour, and almost always charge for at least 4-5 hours of work...

1. don't buy TRD they cost too much for what they are.
2. buy Goldlines they are softer and will cost you about 150.00 and you should be able to get a local shop to install them for 100.00 to 150.00= $300.00 savings.

Or you could follow the DIY in the FAQ section and have them installed for free. It really isn't too hard, as long as you can turn a wrench and remember how parts go back on.

Thanks guys for the info I used to rebuild theft recoveries Porsche & Benz but it has been a long time Is there anything I have to worry about down the road because I assume this will void the warrantee.

Nope, it wont void the warrenty, First they have to prove the part caused the failure, second how do they know you didn't get it dealer installed?

Don't they keep track of installation of parts at the dealer? Or no?

Wow, that is harsh. I paid $150 shipped for my goldline
springs, and it took me 1 hour 45 minutes following the
guide here in the forums...and most of that time was because
I was taking it super slow.

With a proper jack and other tools, plus the experience
of the first time, I could probably cut the install time down
to about an hour.
