Default who likes photoshop? was-Tool for searching wheels by size ?

I found these. they cost real money though, so I was hoping someone would want to throw them on a cherry xB for me to look at? please?

I'm thinking of getting them in 17" gunmetal and may or may not drop the box, so doesn't matter which is shown.

Thanks -
Jere

original text follows...

I've been to wheelspecs.com and almost every wheel retailer out there. I KNOW what I want but cannot find the wheels. Is there any wheel search that will alow us to search on size + offset (range) + color ?

4x100
17x7.0 . . (+28-38 off) . . 215/40-17 tire
GunMetal or Graphite painted centers with a polished lip 5-7 spoke

Any suggestions?

Good luck.
That's our ultimate goal, but afaik nothing like that exists at this time.
We're already searchable like that, but we don't have enough data to make it worthwhile, and the results page isn't quite where we want it to be.
That's why we list manufacturer sites, so you can always check the ultimate source for most info.

A few companies that have what you want:
Velox
Rota
Volk
SSR
Work
Exel (if you're really cheap)
Enkei
5zigen

5zigen Super Six

Enkei RS7

Velox PG-7C

We'll also be displaying different finish pics on wheelspecs soon. Hopefully that'll help you on your next purchase.

Try www.1010tires.com.. it's up here in Canada, but you can search by quite specific criteria.

Go to the wheels section, then turn on 'Advanced Search', click on Size..

You can now specify as many of the following parameters as you like: diameter, width, bolt pattern, offset.

Have fun!

They only show wheels they sell, the problem with all sites trying to sell wheels. 1010tires is a good site though. One of the only places that sells hubcentric spacers openly too.

That site search is exactly what I was looking for, but they don't have anything that looks good

Those Enkei RS7's are perfect. They say they come in 35 and 42 mm.. but I can't find any with our bolt pattern and 35mm! I want them though

Thanks!

Yes, your site is a very good idea. I understand the lack of data, since more than 75% of the time the manufacturers don't even bother to post that info on their sites. It's stupid these people trying to sell a product without offering anything more than "click for larger picture". You're doing their job for them, so I hope you make it work and make some bucks from it.

You know... you could allow people to add what they've found, just make the source URL a required field so you can confirm the info posted.

R U trying to get loads from the wheels companies, or just researching on your own?

I think the biggest reason there's so many wheel posts on this forum is simply because even if you figure out what you need it's about impossible to find it. I'm going to be reduced to a 40mm offset.. but if I go up to a 7.5" wheel it should fill well / fit flush.

This would be easier if I HAD MY CAR to try and mock something up..

31mm should be "flush" with a 7.5" rim.
Just researching on our own for now. We're doing 2 million page views per month with what we've got which isn't too bad. The lack of data is mainly because our current setup makes it a pain to upload. We're in the middle of a redesign which among other things, corrects that problem. It'll be a zillion times better in a couple months.
Wheelspecs was started because we were annoyed at the lack of info out there. We had collected so much data just looking for our own wheels that we figured we might as well share all the info and put it in a useable format.
Every forum has a million wheel posts, doesn't seem to matter how good the FAQ's are.

ok, so if 31mm offset is good for 7.5 inch wide, then 25mm offset would be what you'd want for 7.0 inch wide and for 8 inch rims you could do the factory offset of 38mm, which (hypothetically) would be best for the geometry of the car, IF 8" doesn't go too far inside and rub. 'Course at 8" wide you're starting to get a bit heavy too.

BUT, since the back end is more narrow than the front, one might want to go with 38mm offset 8" in back and 38mm offset 7.5" or even 7" in the front, just to even it up a bit?

Any thoughts? I think the members of scionlife should invest in a cnc machine so we can turn our own blanks.

I would use a spacer in the rear if you want them even, so you can still do normal rotations. You also need to extra clearance in the rear if you're going to run with a full load of people from what the 5zigen guy said using 7" +25 all around.

Alright, I found some I like and that would fit nicely.

http://www.wheelspecs.com/specs/wheelmodels/553

17 X 7 4X100 32 Gunmetal

Now if I could only find a retailer! Please, anyone let me know if you know a Versus retailer.

Most Volk dealers should be able to get them, assuming they aren't discontinued.
They're still showing on Rays website, so I assume they're still available.

Try wheeloptions.com
Basically, you have to call them, but they should be able to get it.

You rock. Thank you very much. That looks hot. I hope my wheels come with strange costumed fighting things too. I know the pics I had weren't straight on, so I appreciate your work!
