Default Just switched from Eibach to 5Zigen springs.

Major thanks to Van for the hookup, and to Rey and Roger for coordinating the time to do the switch! 5Zigens are advertised at 55mm which is roughly around a 2.1 inch drop. It'll especially be interesting to see what happens after they settle. Took some pics and some measurements. Will post on monday. Now it's time for some low-offset rims!

Update Monday 10.06.03 @ 3:19pm:

Rear: Ground to Fender Lip = 24 3/16"
Front: Ground to Fender Lip = 24 1/4"

Ground to Front of Side Skirt = 5 1/4"
Ground to Rear of Side Skirt = 5 3/4"

Peace,
m@

You're very welcome Matt. Man those springs will give a lower stance than the spy springs.

Mikey - There's a mini-meet tonight @ Starbucks in Mountain View. Here's the thread about it https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2135

Ah, I've got pics of the company car on the 5Zigen springs also that I've been meaning to resize and post... I also gotta send some to Darren to include in his gallery of lowered Scions by springs. Thing is, I neglected to trim the front bumpstops and am probably going to take new pics of the car after I cut them. Matt's car definitely looks good though. And hey, those springs will probably outlast the car and won't sag for its lifetime!

After having seen it in person, that drop is crazy... I think with some low offset rims under 18" you will be set in terms of the corner carving stuff... Completely good stuff..

sorry I missed out last night, couldn't find the place and I wasn't able to access the site yesterday morning to get directions...

great to see everyone last nite. what was the count...somewhere close to 12 to 14 cars came through...

2fixa...sorry we missed you...maybe we should come up with a cell phone list or something in the event someone needs help getting to the spot??? the only reason i got the right 'bucks was that m@ told me it was about a mile from tied house brewery...hehehe!

Hopefully nothing happens. But many times that is not the case. Depends on how it the springs are made. If they are hot wound, they have a better chance at sagging. Also many companies do not compress their springs 100% as part of the manufacturing process.

It is always good to take measurments to know for sure. Because a lot of companies don't even make their own springs, the sales guys don't even know how they are made.

Ok.. this is definitely not the best example pic I could be using... but I'll take some more during my lunch hour and post them.

I took some measurements as well.

Rear: Ground to Fender Lip = 24 3/16"
Front: Ground to Fender Lip = 24 1/4"

Ground to Front of Side Skirt = 5 1/4"
Ground to Rear of Side Skirt = 5 3/4"

There's more pics in the NorCal Gallery. Click Here

Thanks guys! The ride doesn't really feel that much different from when I had the Eibach springs on. Perhaps slightly bumpier, but it's also a lower drop! I love it though. I haven't had any issues with scraping either ( well, except for one, but it was driver error. :p ) I can take speed bumps head-on without scraping and every driveway I've tried so far has not been a problem. I totally have the stance I want. I just need to do the rims and tires now!

Peace,
m@
