Default xA vertical door conversion?

Has anyone in these forums seen or created an xA with a vertical door conversion? Based on the shape of the car and the angles of the doors, I was thinking this type of conversion might work nicely ... then again, maybe not.

I just think the short, yet slightly boxy rally-esque shape of the xA would look nice with doors that swing up and forward rather than out to the side. Maybe I'm just crazy.

I wonder if we'll ever see a vertical door conversion kit for the xA.

just my opinion, vertical hinge for 4 door or 5 door car look stupid. I think for xa or xb, we need one door open left and another open right , sort of like the rx8 door.

Good point about the 4-door issue. I was obsessing on the front doors and the angles there that I didn't think about the rear doors.

You "might" be able to pull off good looking vertical opening front doors if you also hinged the reear doors to the opposite side ... but that's a lot of work and might look worse than stock.

Oh well, I'd rather dump $1,500 - $2,000 into mods under the hood an interior. I was just thinking of some possibilities with the xA.

Lambo doors on anything but a exotic sports car looks a little different but the amount of attention and points given by car show judges to a car with them is what it's all about. Vertical Doors Inc. is still in the prototype stages of the xB doors but I'm not sure that they will be doing an xA due to the fact that the amount of space needed between the chassis and the fender is not enough to allow the door to swing out far enough to clear the A pillar on the way up. And even if a kit is made for sale it would be at least $2400.00.
