Default xb springs

what would be the best ride quality springs fo rthe xb? i have seen the eibach, tein, trd, hotchkis, megan racing, and a couple others. looking for a ride that wont throw me around and still have a nice drop with out being a snow plow, common guys help me out.

hard to say... do a search... for slight drops you'll be looking at h-techs... but they're still relatively stiff in the back (not that you as the driver would feel that)...

tanabe NF210s are also less stiff than stock and drop slightly more than the tein's...

but best comfort? duno...
I'm curious if anyone has swapped springs with an xA or echo...

oh and this shouldn't be a calendar event.. hmm

The best ride quality would be a fully coil over suspension, so that you can adjust the ride to fit you ... The best thing to do would be find a set of springs that give you a good drop and then get a set of adjustable shocks and adjust them to the setting that fits you best!

lava... springs plus adjustable shocks...
that'd pretty much be the same price as basic coilovers? no?
... unless there are cheaper adjustables out there... which is what I'm hoping for... the only ones I know of right now are the koni yellows and the tokico ones that are imported. Both are pretty expensive.

oh yeah I forgot to mention maybe you should ask this in corner carvers... there are millions of same type questions there all the time...

If you don't want to go with coilovers, the lowest negative impact as far as ride quality goes, imho, would be the TRD springs. The drop is an 1" and would only make the ride slightly harder.

I really like my GoldLines. I've also heard good things about the RSRs, they are supposed to be a really nice ride...

H-techs are awesome. The teins have taken the bite out of stiff jolts from the OEM setup. IIRC, these are softer than TRDs, but can't say for sure.... never used TRD springs

If you want a comfortable ride with springs, i would say TRD would be your best bet. However, i have Tanabe df210s and i couldn't be happier with them! Good luck!

i've had the goldlines for over 2 years now, and they still ride sweet, and have zero sag. definately the best springs out there (besides coilover) hmmm lets see 200$ or 1500$ you decide

here's what I posted in another thread...

I have have some springtech springs(same people who make sprint). They rids just a tad harsher than stock and lower the car 1.75" all around. They are 100% warrantied against sagging for life. Reason I got them is because I've had experience with Sprint before on hondas and they rode pretty good compared to some more expensive companies out there.

I paid $125 shipped to my front door. $90+ $35 flat rate shipping charge.

for soft yet slightly lower h-techs. if I were to just get springs I would personally get df210's cuz they drop pretty low , but that's me. i'm on ghetto celica springs. but i'm low. well low for JUST springs.

With 18's I'd choose H-techs, but with 17's or less I'd do the S-techs. Love mine...

yeah most people say that the Tein H-techs are the most comfortable. There's always trade offs though and the htechs may not give you the drop your looking for.

I went with the Spy springs and they ride better than factory. Its a two inch drop and it couldnt look or drive better. Longo Scions yellow xB has had these springs since 03 and that car drives great. Ive had mine since June of 04 and never have I even bottomed out. Good luck with your search but check Spy out.
