That question could be rephrased "How do you make your tires bald on the inside really fast?"

So I assume the wheels really are angled? So in a sense not all of the wheel is actually touching the ground.

^ this seriously is a style, not new however, but new to the u.s. ; but yea, it will cause excessively fast tire wear on the inside because of the angle..

all show pretty much

This is not about style, its just one way to fit wider wheels on a car, and most of VIP cars happen to run wide wheels, if you don't want to run fender flares, then negetive camber is the way to go. Its not for everyone, some like it and some don't, some people also like to say we have camber and they are running for fun, but if you are running low offset wheels and any size wider than 8.5" +20 then you might have a use for them, I have been running negetive camber in the back for a while, and it work just fine to fit 9.5" +15 wheels in the back without putting fender flares on my car !! Like others are saying, I think it is only done for looks on that xb. The only technical reason to run camber like that would be on a race car to improve grip in high speed cornering. The idea being that the g load of the car while turning actualy "straightens" the wheel out giving you more rubber to cement contact. I used to play around with the camber a lot on my RC cars... you could really feel the difference even with the slightest adjustments.
