Default Tein Basic coilovers, camber kit needed?

Well, I'm about to take the plunge and order the basic coilovers, however it just dawned on me that I may need a camber kit in order to get a proper alignment. I know if I drop the car too low, the shop says they can't give an accurate alignment. I plan on dumping the coilovers to virtually there lowest setting. So people running on the basics, did you install a camber kit too?? Any help would be appreciated.

No, camber kits are not required. Unless of course you want to run camber to squeeze a wider wheel in the rear. Initially, I did not run camber, but then I did when my new wheels were on the way.

That's the thing.....can the toe be corrected to give a straight alignment. I've heard if you drop over so many inches...I think 1.5, you can't align the car without a camber kit.

My xb has been lowered as much as 3.5 inches lower than stock. It has always been aligned w/ no problems. I even have a different toe setting due to the camber on all four corners. The xB can be aligned to factory specs, or "custom" to suit your particular driving style.

a camber kit only affects the camber settings not toe , toe is controlled via tie rods.

Yeah, I'm not sure where my head was last night. Thanks for your responses guys. I guess I'll just order up the basic coilovers and go from there. I'm only running a 16 x 7 wheel so I think I should be in good shape.

Final question, would a 40 or a 45 mm offset fit nicer. I'm pretty sure the 40 mm is the way to go. I'm unsure if I'll have to run some spacers out back, once again, I guess I'll see once it's all said and done. Thanks again for your help.

40 offset. If you want the flush look in the rear, get the OTG rear shims direct from One Ton Garage (http://www.onetongarage.com).
