Default rims and tires

i have a pair of new tires and i order my rime today i wanted to know if i 225/40/18 will fit on my xb? I know someone out there knows something about this so if you have any info please post up...thanks

You don't say what size rims you have ordered. If you have gone with 18x9 ET 31 then it looks like your going to be OK. See this thread and scroll down to size 18.

if that is the offset you ordered, then better order your spacer or shims too, Sean

i order 18 x 7.5 and the tires are 225 x 40 x 18

The 225,40 might push it a little bit, I know people have trouble with 215/40 a little bit depending on their drop, but with some trimming it should be good, Sean

MyBoX is absolutly correct about this. My error. I didn't read what rampagesd said in his post, just looked at the Sticky for Wheel Fitment and saw no mention of rubbing. His post said that he had to cut and shim.

When compared to silkywilson who is at 18x7.5 ET 42 with 215/35/18s you should be OK with the 18x7.5s IF they are ET37 or less, over 37 may cause Inboard & Outboard rubs. Silkywilson said the rears were very close on the inside in the rear with the ET42. At ET37 you will be even on the Inboard, however, you will push the Out board by .4" and may need to trim as MyBoX has said.
