TRD vs Tein S Tech - springs reviewed
I had some time to install the Tein s Tech springs I got off a member here. Other then the obvious lower stance, the springs actually ride nicer. They absorb the little bumps and cracks I drive over everyday. Those same bumps and cracks could really be felt with the OEM springs. Less with the TRD, but nice with the Tein s Tech.
Much easier to install then the TRD springs when it comes to the struts. Pretty much did it with one hand pushing down and the other tightening the bolt with my impact wrench.
Since I had everything apart I took a few extra minutes to undercoat the wheel wells black instead of the body color. Came out pretty clean. Also painted the aluminum exhaust pipe with heat paint black, to better hide it as well.
Much happiness!
What a difference!

cool... thanks!
Yes I only changed the springs.
You can find them from some of the sponsors and also eBay, but I got these from a member.
{EDIT}
From the picture above, the Tein s Tech after install is about 3 1/4 from the lip of the wheel. After driving around today, the springs settled some and are now at the 3" mark.
They really do drive much better then OEM and better then the TRD. I get more looks with them as well. More people checking my car out today. Probably the stance and more sporty look the Tein springs provide.

I notice less body roll with the Tein s Techs compared to the TRD springs. I feel more confident taking the same turn I take coming off the freeway.
I think a Progress sway bar will compliment these springs.
