Being work has been slow I had sometime to kill so I was playing in the shop today.

Decided to make myself a pair of side marker eyelids. Each cover is hand laid in fiberglass. Being we didn't have material in stock, I used what was available. In the future, I'll use a clearcasting fiberglass resin so light will better shine thru. In my case, I plan to paint them Polar Wht. so durning the day they'll be Polar white and at night will be able to see light from the turn signal. Better yet, I'll try some samples in CF. Covers can be made in full or trimmed to a 3/4 eyelid. 1/2 eyelid or 1/4 eyelids. Being I want light to shine thru, I plan to attach them using a bead of clear silicone on the top edge rather then using doublesided tape.

Please note that these are only work in progress photo's. They have not been painted nor sanded at the time of this photo. The white one is cast with a white gelcoat for easier painting.
