I bought some tanabe df210's, planning on getting them installed...just wondering if any of you northerners have issues with snow? I mean we had 6 inches one day this year...just thinking 2" might be too low.....help......I knows I can put the original springs back on in wintertime...but that is a hassle ($200)

My xb is on hotchkis springs so it's a mild drop, about 1"

I drove in the pathetic virginia winter with no problem. Now had I been back in Buffalo where I'm from... i'd have had a few more problems.

 

I went thru winter in pittsburgh, PA with trd shocks/springs and had no problem with stock tires. The 17" had to be put away till spring. Minus ugly stock wheels ran like a dream, front wheel positraction pulls you forward no problem.

 

Smashed two front lips on 1" H-Techs (xB). Drives fine though ;-)

 

I couldn't imagine driving a lowered car in upstate NY during snow season. I think it would turn the car into a shovel!

 

If it snows over 6 inches in one day, you dont drive. When it does that here everything is closed for a day so I dont have to drive. I could see it causing problems in upstate NY or furthere where 6 inches is an everyday occurance. The question you need to ask yourself is "Do I need to drive in more than 3 inches of snow regularly because everyone does?"

 

The XB turns into a snowplow when it is dropped and it snows I would swap springs or suggest driving another car.

 

haha I was about to say that...you could mod the front into a snowplow and pwn all the big trucks that plow, heh.

 

God, if I could afford it, I'd bag my car. That way I wouldn't have to screw around with changing springs in the winter.

 

i'm lowered about 3 inches or so and i took it to the snow. only about 2 inches or less tho. no problems.

 

stunt car is needed for winter, buy something sweet like a pacer

 

what about the trd springs hows thoughs far in the snowy weather
