Default XB rim and tire question

So I just started to look at rims and tires... I have an XB that will be kept at the stock hight. (no drop) What size rims and tires will fill up the wheel well the best without having to go too crazy with spacers adaptors and the like. Would a 16" rim be too small and have to have to big of a tire to fill up the wheel well a bit? or would a 17 or 18 with a lower profile tire look better? I just don't want to have to deal with any rubbing issues and if a 16" rim will do the trick with a nice tire...then I can save a bit of money on doing it as well. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Fez

With the 17" rim, Did you drop the XB? If so how far (2") and What type of springs did you use?

If you're not dropping yoru xB, I'd go with 16s. Seventeen-inch wheels will make the unsightly wheel gap more noticable. A tire with a bigger sidewall will make that gap less conspicuous. Just my two cents.

FYI, the following fitments are the tallest fitments we recommend for a stock xB without modifications:

Tire Size / Overall Diameter

205/50-16 / 24.1"
225/45-16 / 24.0"
205/45-17 / 24.2"
225/35-18 / 24.2"
215/35-19 / 24.9"
