Default bB Badges

I was going to put bB badges on my xb a while back. I put it off and now it seems like every other xb has the bB badge thing going on.

I love the look too but it would seem like I was just jumping on the band wagon.

exactly! I wouldnt have put a badge back on the front but that damn whole and the bB badge is a lot smaller and cooler looking. I left my rear alone and badgeless.

yeah I lost the back badges and painted a bB to match in the front.
Really wish someone would come up with something for that front grille that filled in the space and made clean smooth lines all the way across.
But this was the best IMO for now.

No badges would be best... The front looks horrible with the BIG scion oval. Unless you get a new grill, the bB looks better.

I think if you shave the rear, just leave it that way. If you put a bB badge, that's fine. It's not played out IMO.

OK here's my viewpoint:

From a design standpoint, I prefer the bB badges (or none at all). In Japan, they design logotype badges specifically for each individual car (i.e. Altezza, ist, Skyline, etc...). For the bB, they made the badges shaped like boxes because the car is a box - at least there's a connection there which I find visually pleasing. They even knew to leave off the Toyota logo becasue it didn't flow with the design!

On the other hand, the Scion logos were designed to fit on all 3 of the cars and future cars. They pretty much slapped it on there, alsmost like an afterthought! I think the badges should flow/enhance - not stand out from the overall look of the car....

Furthermore, having a bB badge isn't "faking the funk" so-to-speak. At least the xB and bB are pretty much identical. It's not like putting on a Lexus badge or something...

i agree, technically they are the same car, just depends on what you like and what you think flows best. I saw a buick lesabre the other day with the 325 badge from a bmw, now that was played out!

Shouldn't this thread be moved to Drag Coefficient? I don't see how this has anything to do with suspensions.

By the standards in this forum, I'm old (34) and I love the JDM look. When I was a kid, I dreamed that someday a Japanese car maker would bring their Japanese models to the US. The closest I ever got to seeing my dream realized was a customer of mine that owned a 1982 or '83 Honda Civic right-side drive straight from Japan. He and his brother were going to start a dealership selling JDM Hondas, but due to various bureaucratic restrictions, it was cost prohibitive. I knew his car from my childhood days (yeah, I lived in a small town in California for a very long time...). Last time I saw him ('bout 10 years ago) he had the car garaged.

So, I totally dig the JDM badges. Is there anyway to remove the Scion badge from the steering wheel? I would love to just replace the wheel/airbag with a Toyota, but I'm sure that's either not feasible or just not possible.

i have bB badges on my car. if i had a VW jetta id rebadge it a Bora, if i had a infiniti g20 (i think thats the #), id rebadge it as a primera, g35 = skyline, is300 to altezza, lexus ls430 = toyota celsior. i hate 'fake' car companies. lexus and infiniti dont exist to me. its fake-___ american VIP so they can make more money. i voted dont care cuz whether its 'played out' or not im going to rebadge any japanese car i own to what is supposed to be.
