Default How do you install the dual halo w/ led?

My parts guy messed up and ordered the wrong lights for the xB and it looks like I am getting a reduced price for them now. I am getting the dual halo with the three little led's with black housing. I looked at them this morning and it looks like a pretty easy DIY, but my question is . .. . has anyone done this themselves and is there an article on how to install on scionlife? most important question is what to do with the three loose wires for the LED's. Is there a best place to put them?

It's a pain to install unless you did it before. I have those on my box but with chrome housing. I don't ever want to put a new pair of headlights on again. As for the led wires aren't you going to hook them up? if not I would just zip-tye them together. If you are going to hook them up hook them up into your parking lights. As for a DIY there is one on here but it is old so you might just have to get a new one from someone or scavange for the old one.

for me, it was a fairly simple swap. you use the h4 plug and the old blinker bulb. the blinker bulb has 3 wires on it, the center wire is black and white, ground, and the other two are green with a red or orange stripe. the one with the silver mark is the blinker wire and the other one is the parking light wire. i just tapped the LEDs into the parking light, but you can put em on the blinker if you want..

just strip the wire and twist the loose ones on to the parking wire and seal it off with electric tape or something?

I have found that it looks better if you wire them to the turn signal instead of the parking light.

wow, we spent the better part of the day making it look right. got it all hooked up and painted the honeycomb grill too. the only problem we had was getting the fit and finish to look right with those tabs in the way on the outside of the lights. the fender sticks out a little and they didn't have the same tabs to stick on to that the OEM's had on them so they are "floppy" i guess. we cut them down some but there is about a 1mm gap that sticks out still. GO US!

Default Installed Angle Eye Halo's using this post

I would like to thank all the people who left comments, instructions and helpful images on this post. I was not sure how to change the headlights and wire them in. After about 2 hours they are in working and looking great. Again thanks to all of you who posted the helpful information in this thread.
