thats not a "JDM" style...that is a real Japanese tag...thats Chriss box and he paid a arm and leg for...you can find them on ebay now and then but his actually matches our car. The number on the top says what type of engine its for. These tags a premuim upgrades in Japan and are really really rare.

Characters in gray mean the prefectural code used to be abbreviated on older plates. Before 1988, the prefectural code was usually abbreviated to the first Kanji. There are some prefectures which begin with the same Kanji (for example Osaka and Oita), so some needed to be spelled out in full to avoid conflict. Usually the one with the largest population would take the abbreviation and the others would be spelled out in full (Osaka is abbreviated and Oita is spelled out in full).

i'd buy one for sure, How much did it cost you Dajap. I've been learning japanese for 4 years and it would be worth it to me to have one :D.

Being that were both in FL, have u been bothered by the cops with it on at night?

 

this may be stupid on my part, but i doubt he can drive with it normally since its not a US plate. right?

i never thought you could.
here in Nebraska i could never get away with it. which would make it a show plate only

he drives with it on all the time and never had any problems. Here in Jax alone a lot of boxes have different style front tags. You can look on ebay for them. It depends on which one you find will determine the price. Also Chris made sure match the engine code to ours. On ebay right now there is several 3 series license plates but would not match our car...you need a 5 series since that is for 2000cc cars and below...
