Default Tein Coilovers ROCK - Better than STOCK

Tein Coilovers ROCK - Better than STOCK

Just got my 06 XA lowered today with TEIN Basic coilovers.

10000000000000000% better than stock shock and springs.

The best MOD so far, I would get them any way you could before anything else, you will be amazed at the ride difference. Picture anyday now..

good deal! are you on stock wheels? if not, what size? also, whats the ride like? i know in my tib, with aftermarket struts and springs, its really stiff. but i was reading the tein basics ride pretty well even though they are stiff around the corners.

could you elaborate on the "i love the ride"? like is it soft over bumps or does it feel like youre riding on wheels with no tires?

Before I could feel hard bumps and know they are there but smooth...

does not jolt you, it take the bumps like a more expensive sports car

I got them too last week. HEY "Better" here means:

Softer, sweeter, lower and very nice but, being softer than stock they do allow more body roll than OEM.

They are not sporty-tuned springs no sirs! Not on these Basic Kits. And that's OK so long as you KNOW what you want. I was not told that Tein Basics were for the sweet pea ride. I wanted flatter, cornering improvement and did not get it.

I will re-spring the Basics stiffer to suit my own wants.

This is no problem to do (well, maybe the rear, though.. need to research thru Tein

There are some pics in my own Tein thread on the first page.

The car will settle down some more I suppose.

Am working with Joe Klein of Tein USA to get me on some stiffer springs because I just happen to want a rough ride for the even better handling.

It is understandable that very few peeps would want the ride I am after.

When you look at the pictures put in the Tein growing pains thread, of the OEM and Tein springs side by side you see why these shorter springs look less stiff.

thats exactly what i was thinking. i always thought coilovers were supposed to be super stiff, but i guess not.

the sway bar and some strut bars may make for the perfect ride im excited!

and scifly, if you find stiffer springs, let us know how we could get them!
